Recipe: Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Summary: Makes 36. Each serving: 1 cookie.
Ingredients
- 1 stick trans-fat-free margarine (ie Promise)
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1-1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1-1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp apple pie spice
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream the margarine and sugar together until fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and egg. Mix smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients, scrape the bowl and mix smooth again.
- Form small balls for cookies using scoop or tablespoon. Arrange on tray so they are not too close together. Bake at 350 degrees until cookies are done, about 10 minutes.
- Remove cookies from trays and allow to cool briefly before removing from pan. Cool completely.
